The Purpose of Ministry:
To reach out to the community and provide an opportunity for the Gospel of Jesus to be planted according to His will. To initiate the cultivation process of the soil, God is calling us to sow with the seed of His Word. EVERY BELIEVER IS A MINISTER!
God Rewards Our Work!
Jesus commanded all of us to be a part of outreach in the Great Commission; Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Jesus’ command is for all of His disciples, not just pastors, deacons, teachers, or outreach leaders, to go and make disciples.
God does reward our work and gives the increase. As Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor." This one purpose is to make disciples. This was Jesus’ last command while he was on earth, "Go and make disciples of all nations ".
